About the Writer & Editor
Nicole Ting (she/her) is a Malaysian immigrant poet and content writer residing in Houston, Texas. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering and a Certificate in Creative Writing (Fiction Writing) from The University of Texas at Austin. Her works appear in Hooligan Mag, Thought Catalog, P.S. I Love You, and more.
Her personal strengths include coming-of-age fiction and confessional poetry. She has an immense passion for people and their stories — for taking the time to listen and understand what it took for them to get to where they are today. She searches for the small moments that are often overlooked, but are just as significant as the big ones, and she spins truth from them. This is how she approaches any work that she is trusted with.
Surrounded by warm light and humid air, she lives with her houseplants, her books, and her trusty espresso machine. You can find her writing poems and short stories at a local coffee shop on Saturdays.
Her debut collection Here We Named Ourselves is now available.
